NBCP pathways material

PLEASE NOTE:

*These guidelines were updated in July 2022. Please disregard all previous versions*

The project provides a dedicated, evidence-based care pathway with guidance for professionals delivering bereavement care to parents and families.

Healthcare professionals and parents at the 32 pilot sites and elsewhere have helped us to evolve the pathway guidance documents since the summer of 2017.

Below are links to the documents pertaining to each of the 5 pregnancy and baby loss pathways: Miscarriage (including molar and ectopic pregnancy), Termination of Pregnancy for Fetal Anomaly (TOPFA), Stillbirth, Neonatal Death and Sudden Unexpected Death of an Infant up to 12 months.

Each pathway has two main documents - a longer, more detailed pathway, and a shorter document which draws out the essential elements of the full guidance document.

Note: these materials were updated for use in England on 22 July 2022. Please disregard previous versions.
