NBCP Impact report 2020

Today we publish the NBCP Impact Report, bringing together findings from last year’s independent evaluation of the National Bereavement Care Pathway (NBCP) in England and progress made since then. It shows that the NBCP and its nine core standards, have had a positive impact on the care bereaved parents receive and the confidence of staff in delivering it.

More than 50% of Trusts in England are now signed up to the Pathway. We are calling on those who have yet to commit to the NBCP to work towards fully implementing it as soon as possible.

To support this aim, we are running virtual regional workshops throughout the summer with the opportunity to find out more about implementing the Pathway, support for this, and to hear from Trusts nearby that have successfully done so, see more below.

NBCP e-workshops

After the success of last winter’s NBCP workshops we are delighted to offer free online regional workshops over the next few weeks. Booking is now open for the first two (North West & West Midlands). The workshops will cover, parent voice, NBCP updates, bereavement care during COVID-19, sharing practice and will offer the opportunity to connect with regional colleagues.
